Warrant of Chairman. any, that they may obtain or rective the benefit of, upon any and all materials and supplies that may be furnished under said contract ; and that all other bida for work in said County be rejected, and that the certified checks of said bidders whose proposals are rejected, be returned to them. It was moved, seconded and carried, that the bid of j. jf,t Francis, Punxsutawny, Pa,, for a section of road in rjarrett County, beginning at the Corporate limits of the town of Oakland, and running towards Thayerville, about 5-1/2 Miles, be accepted, and the Contract awarded to said J. E. Francis, subject to such reduction in excavation prices as the Chairman can secure ; and provided that said J. 15. Francis will agree to insert in said contracts a clause agreeing that the State Roads Commission may deduct from the aggregate price of the work, labor, materials and supplies done or furnished under aaid contract an amount equal to the aggregate reduction in the existing published freight rates, if any, that he may obtain or receive the benefit of upon any and all materials and supplies that may be furnished under said contract. It was moved, seconded and carried, that the bid of Fisher & Carozza, Baltimore, Md., for a section of road in Prince Georre's County, beginning at the Corporate limits of the town of Marlboro, and running to Meadows, about 5-3/4 Miles, be accepted, and the contract awarded to said Fisher & Caroaza, upon the following conditions,to wit: That the price on gravel be reduced to the Engineer's estimate of 46/ per square yard, and provided said Fisher and Carozza will agree to insert in said contract a clause agreeing that the State Roads Commission may deduct from \ the aggregate price of the work, labor, materials and supplies done or furnished under said contract, an amount equal to the aggregate reduction in the existing published freight rates, if any, that they may obtain or receive the benefit of, upon any and all materials and supplies that may be furnished under said contract, otherwise to readvertise for bids on said section of road in said County, and that all other bida for work in aaid county be rejected, and that the certified checks of aaid bidders whose proposals are rejected be returned to them.
