Resolution to take over Baltimore a-^d Liberty Turnpike. Mqtion to rescind action relative to Roads in Montgomery County. A special meeting of the State Roads Commission was held this Friday, April 30, 1909, at the offices of the Maryland Geological & Economic Survey Commission, 532 North Howard Street, Baltimore, Laryland, at 11 o'clock A.M. Present: Governor Crothers, Chairman Tucker, and Messrs. Hut ton, Reason, Smoeinaker and Clark. The minutes of the previous meeting of the Commission were not read. Mr. Shoemaker moved to rescind the action of the Commission at its meeting of April 29th. 1509, at \vhich the Secretary was instructed to write Dr. Hur;h H. Young requesting his permission to have the Commission reimburse him the expenses of the automobile on the trip to Hoston. Dr. Clark seconded the motion, which was adopted. Mr. Shoemaker moved that the matter of the settlement of the expenses of the automobile be left with the "Engineer, and that Dr. Young be refunded the amount advanced by him. Governor Crothers seconded the motion, v/hich was adopted. Governor Crcthers offered the following: Resolved, That the State Roads Commission take over the Baltimore & Liberty Turnpike within the limits of Baltimore County upon the following terms and conditions- That the same be delivered to this Commission free of charge, and that the Commission improve one mile of said pike from the City limits, and that the Commission expend on isaid Pike, beyond said mile, such sum of money as is equivalent to the amount paid by the citizens for said pike; and on the further condition that the County Commissioners of Baltimore County shall maintain all that part of said pike West of the mile hereby ordered to be improved. Dr. Clark seconded the motion, which was adopted. M". Hutton moved that the Commission rescind its action of yesterday (April 29th.1909) regarding the order of improvement of roads in 1/Iontgomery County, and to substitute therefor the following: "That in Montgomery County the Commission indicate and adopt as its final system for that County, the fallowing roads, and complete the improvement thereof in such manner as the Commission shall hereafter determine, in the order named, so far as the funds will permit such improvement and construction:
