Washington; the Harford Road two miles; the Philadelphia Road two miles; the York Road to Cock-eyrrille; the Westport-Annapolis Road 1 1/2 miles; Park Heights Avenue in its entirety, as far as the funds will permit. There being no second to the Chairman's amendrent, the question reverted to Mr. Shoemaker's motion. Upon a vote being taken, all the members voted in favor of the motion, except the Chairman, v/ho voted "Ho.11 Mr. Shoemaker's motion was adopted. Dr. Clark moved that the permanent road in Harford County begin at the Baltimore County line on the Old Bel Air Road and proceed by v,ray of Bel Air, Hickory, Calmia, Poole, Berkley, Glen Cove, connecting v/ith the Cecil County Road at Cono./ingo; from Bel Air by way of Ch rch-ville and Carsins to Aberdeen; from the Hickory Road about 2 miles north of Bel Air "by way of Fores- Hill, Grafton Shops, Coopsto'.-.'n and Jarrettsville, as far as the funds will permit. Governor Crothers moved to amend the motion of Dr. Clark by the adoption of the tentative route aa already located, with the exception of tlic road from Bel Air to Conowingo. The motion was secondd by I.rr Hutton. Upon a vote being taken, all the members voted in favor of the amendment, except the C%iairr:;an, who voted in the negative, and wished to be recorded as designating the Harford Road to Bel Air, in its entirety. Dr . Clark moved that the permanent route in Carroll County start from Sykesville and proceed by way of "Pldersburg, Garnhor, Bird Hill, Smallwood, Fenby to V/estrninster, on condition that the County turn over the pike from Fenby to Westminster free of charge to the State; from "Westminster to Manchester; and from Westminster towards Taneytown, provided the turnpike v/ill be turned over v/ithout cost to the State; the road from Ridgeville towards Taylorville for 3 miles; and from the Frederick County line through Ridgeville on the Baltimore 'c Frederick Turnpike to the Howard County line. All of the above roads as far as the funds will permit. The motion was seconded by Dr. Remsen. lir. Tucker offered as an amendment that the road from North Branch to ^Idersburg, be added- Mr. Hutton seconded the motion, which was lost. On a vote being taken, the motion of Dr. Clark, as secondd by Dr. Remsen, was adopted Dr. Clark moved that the permanent route in Howard County be located from ^llicott City by the "Baltimore & Frederick Turnpike to the Carroll County line; and from West Friendship to Sykesville; from Route in Howard County. Mayfield towards Glenelg and Dayton; and from Ridgeville south toward Damascus for two miles, such portion as lies in Howard County. All the above road as far as the fund will permit. The motion was seconded by Mr. Shoemaker.
