There being no further business before it the Commission adjourned to meet Monday, January 18, 1909, at the Johns Hopkir.s University, at 11 o'clock a.m., in accordance with the motion of Dr. Clark for a Joint meeting with the Geological SurveyCommiution. ADJOURNED. ATTEST: Chairman, Baltimore, Md., January 18th., 1909. Twenty-third Meeting Present. Minutes P.ead. Purchase of a Blue-print Llacliine at i;;140.oo net f.o.b. Philadelphia. A special meeting of the State Roads Commission was held this Monday, January 18, 1909, at the offices of the Maryland Geological and Kconoraic Survey Commission, Johns Hopkir.s University, 532 North Howard Street, Baltimore, Maryland, at 11 o'clock a.m., jointly with the Md. Geological and Economic Survey Commission. Present: Governor Austin ". Crothers, Chairman John !". Tucker, Dr. Ira Remsen, Mr. Francis C. Hut ton, If*. Samuel V, Shoemaker and Dr. '."fir.. Bullock Clark. The reading of the minutes of the previous regular meeting of the Commission v*as dispensed with. Dr. Remsen moved that a blue-printing machine be purchased from the Cooper Kewitt Electric Company, Philadelphia, and installed, at a price not exceeding $140.oo net f.o.b. Philadelphia, for the machine. The motion v/as seconded by Mr. Shoemaker and adopted. Mr. Shoemaker moved that authority "be given the Chief Engineer Leave of absence grant- to be absent from duty for the time required to attend a meeting of the ed Chief Engineer to Greater Highway Association of Southeastern Virginia, to "be held in attend Greater High-.vay Richmond, Virginia, February llth. , 1909. The motion was seconded by Asso'n, Richmond, Feb. Dr. Clark and adopted. llth. 1909 Mr. Shoemaker moved that the Chief Engineer be given authority to purchase a case of tracing cloth of 50 rolls, at a price not ex-Purchase of case of tracing cloth at ceeding $4.82 per roll. The motion v/as seconded by Mr. Hutton and $4.82 per roll. adopted. Annex Commission to be notified of date for hearing regarding City Roads or Streets. Adjournment. It was moved, seconded and carried that the Secretary be instructed to notify the Annex Commission of Baltimore City that the State Roads Commission had named Thursday, January 21st., 1909, at the Union Trust Company Building, at 12 o'clock, Noon, as the time, place and hour when they would be glad to hear from the Annex Commission in regard to the roadu or street in the city to be taken over by the Commission.
