Mr. Hutton moved that a survey party be sent into Garrett County as early as possible, and that surveys be made beginning at Oakland and extending to Thayerville. The motion was seconded by Governor Crothers, and adopted. J.'r. Shoemaker moved that surveys be begun in Allegany County beginning at Frostburg and extending westward to the Garrett Count; line on what is known as the ITational Pike; thence proceed to Cumberland beginning at the end of the road completed under the State Aid Act and eastward 5 miles. The motion was seconded by lir. Hutton and adopted. The Chairman presented certain bills v/hich v;ere read, and on motion of Dr. Rernsen, seconded by !'r. Dr. Remsen moved that certain forms asked for by the Chief Engineer be referred to the Committee on Supplies, with power to ask for bids. Governor Crothers seconded the motion which was adopted. Mr. Hutton moved that Messrs. J. K. L'cGrath, L. W. Stephens, Jr., F. R. B. Waters, H. D. Williar, Jr., and J. C. Crothers be employed as Draughtsmen at a salary of $50.oo per month. Governor Crothers seconded the motion and it was adopted. Dr. Remsen moved that permission be granted for the temporary employment of Miss Lingan as Stenographer, at a salary of $9.oo per week, to do certain work on forms, contracts and specifications and other work incidental thereto.
