A meeting of the State Roads Commission was held this Monday, October 5th 1908, at its offices, Union Trust Suild-ing, Baltimore, Md., at 11 o'clock A.M., pursuant to notice. Present: Governor Austin L. Crothers, Chairman John M. Tucker, Mr. Francis C. Hutton, H-. Samuel M. Shoemaker, Dr Ira Remsen and Dr. Y/m. Bullock Clark. The minutes of the previous meeting of the Commission were read and approved. The Chairman presented a number of bills for supplies and expenses of the engineering department, and on motion of Dr. Remsen, seconded by Governor Crothers, the bills were approved for payment. Mr. Shoemaker presented a comirmnication from Mr. John B. Ramsay, President of the National Mechanics Bank of Baltimore, renewing the bank's offer of Kay, 1908, of 2$ interest on deposits in said Bank. Governor Crothers suggested that the Secretar write the Liechanics Bank, stating that whenever the Commission has any money not in use, it will be glad to consider the offer of the Bank, along with others, and to gatify them, if feasible. Governor Crothers having called on the Chairman for a report covering the operations of the Commission from the time of its organisation to date, the Chairman presented and ead a report including a financial statement of expenditures to Sep. 30th, amounting in all to £9,068.90. f Mr. Hutton moved that the road to be selected as a State (25)
