Mr. Shoemaker moved that a survey party be sent to make a survey from Salisbury to Princess Anne. The motion was seconded "by Governor Crothers and adopted. Mr. Charles J. Meyer, Treasurer of the Johns Hopkins University, conferred with the Commission in regard to the renting of the premises 532 and 534 North Howard Steet, for the State Roads Commission, and Mr. Shoemaker moved that the Chairman be authorized to sign an agreement of lease with the Johns Hopkins University for the rental of the property on Howad Steet, for a period of one year, with the privilege of two, three or four years, the rent to be payable monthly. The motion was seconded by Governor Crothers and adopted. The Chairman presented to the Commission a communication signed by Preston B.Ray and others, of Montgomery County, tendering to the Commission the Union, the Norwood and the Colesville Turnpikes. The matter v/as laid over for consideration at a later meeting of the Commission. The Chairman presented certain bills for engineering supplies and other items, and on motion, duly seconded, the bills were ordered paid.
