a demonstration of how teachers, students and citizens, can use internet technology to teach and learn about history and government.  Using the products of a National Endowment for the Humanities sponsored partnership between the Maryland State Archives and the Anne Arundel County Public Schools, the syllabi and student projects from classes taught at Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland, and the web site of the Maryland State Archives, Dr. Papenfuse demonstrates how a properly equipped and managed electronic environment can be used to present and interpret the past, understand the present, and allow for the development of independent critical thinking and writing.
