AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Garrett Power is a Professor of Law at the University of Maryland School of Law. He is a graduate of Duke Univer-
sity (B.A. 1960) and Duke Law School (LL.B. 1962) and holds a graduate degree in law from the University of Illinois
College of Law (LL.M. 1965). Professor Power teaches, writes and works in the fields of property law, law and
economics, and planning history. He is a co-author of Chesapeake Waters (1984), an environmental planning history of
Chesapeake Bay, and is presently working on a study of the historical development of Baltimore. Maryland. Publica-
tions resulting from this effort have appeared in Planning Perspectives, The Man-land Hiximicul Society Magazine and
the Man-land Law Review.
