Electronic index that provides references to several series of plat records. The entries will serve also as an authority file for (Subdivision Plats, HA) in series S1246. The index is derived from two volumes, 1790-1951 and 1921-1997, and from JIS entries, beginning in 1992. The first section of the 1790-1951 volume contains names of persons and tracts, arranged alphabetically by the first letters of the entries, but no dates. It provides book and page references for (Plats from Land Records) in series C2446 and C2447, (Plats from Equity) in series C2448 and C2449, and (Plats from Judgments) in series C2508. The second section begins with a list of sixteen maps and plats stored in a green bin, that are included in (Miscellaneous Maps and Plats) in series C390. The rest of the section consists of names of county roads and other public facilities, arranged alphabetically by the first letters of the entries, but no dates. It provided book and page references for (County Road Plat Book) in series C2460 and (Public Works Plat Book) in series C2461. The books in C2460 are cited as SWC 1 and GRC 2; all other citations refer to C2461. The 1921-1997 volume contains names of tracts, subdivisions, condominiums, and individuals, arranged alphabetically by the first letters of the entries and then chronologically by recording date. It provides book and page references for (Plat Book) in series C2442 and (Condominium Plat Book) in series C2454. JIS entries refer to the same two series, plus C2461, list tracts, subdivisions, condominiums, public facilities, and individuals alphabetically, and show filing dates.
