Indexes that provide references to (Plat Book) in series C2381 and (Plats from Land Records) in series C2389. The entries will serve also as an authority file for (Subdivision Plats, PG) in series S1250. The index includes one set found on film in series CM778 and another that remains at the courthouse. The first set of indexes was compiled by the Land Office in 1950 and consists of three parts. Part one contains pages from the Plat section of the grantor index to land records, covering 1884-1922. The entries are arranged chronologically by land record and then plat book references, and show subdivision, tract, or owners' names, but not dates. Part two, 1923-1939, lists the entries alphabetically by subdivision, tract, or owners' names and provide dates and plat book references. Part three, 1940-1949, contains a chronological list of plats and shows the subdivision, tract, or owners' names, dates, and plat book references.
The second set of index consists of three volumes, dating from 1930 to the present. The entries are arranged alphabetically by subdivision, tract, or owners' names and provide dates and plat book references. The index for 1992-1994 is missing.
