The Judge's Charge / 161 Go over what each defense witness said. Did you believe the witness? Did the cross-examination prove the testimony was false or unreliable? When jurors review evidence to determine facts, they may call in the court stenographer to read back testimony and the lawyers' and judge's statements. At any point in your deliberations, you may turn back to clarify the testimony. Use the Stenographer's Notes to locate specific points.
