Lived in St. Marys County from 1636 to 1643; moved to Virginia; settled permanently in Somerset County, Maryland, 1661. Local Offices: sheriff (Somerset County), 1669-1671. Provincial Offices: Burgess, St. Georges Hundred, St. Marys County, 1639; Burgess (Northampton County, Virginia), 1657-1658; commissioner to grant land warrants for Eastern Shore of Maryland below Choptank River, 1661-1663. Land at death: 1000 a. plus.
