John Cromwell Orrick, M.D. (1805-1863)

Biography:

Born at "Silver Hill," Baltimore County, Md., June 16, 1805. Son of Edward and Susanna (Keener) Orrick. Attended University of Maryland School of Medicine, 1831.  Married to Lydia W. Kirk (d. 4/2/1857); seven children. Died at Baltimore, December 29, 1863.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Baltimore County, 1834, 1837, 1838, 1840-41, and 1846

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Pupil of Dr. Keener; M.D. Practiced  medicine at Hereford, Baltimore County, for about thirty years. Moved to Baltimore about 1848, and practiced there for some years. Dr. Orrick was also a local preacher of M. E. Church.
