Biography:

Born George Reuben Stottlemeyer, January 27, 1862, in Frederick County, Maryland.  Son of John and Susan (Bussard) Stottlemeyer.  Methodist Episcopal. Married; four children.  Died March 12, 1930, in Frederick, Maryland.  Buried Salem United Brethren Cemetery (now known as the Salem United Methodist Cemetery) in Wolfsville, Maryland.

School teacher in Frederick County. House of Delegates, Frederick County, 1888. Committee Clerk for the Senate, 1891. Member, Masons, Odd Fellows, Knights of Pythias, and Red Men.
