Born in Meherrin, Virginia, December 28, 1911. Attended Meherrin and Baltimore public schools. Married; three children. Died November 23, 1972, in Baltimore, Maryland.

House of Delegates, Baltimore City, 1967-72. Member, House Environment Matters Committee; Legislative Black Caucus.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Steelworker, Bethlehem Steel Corporation, 1950-68. President, Cold Stream Park Civic Democratic Club. Member, Board of Governors, The Associated Civic Democratic Councils, Inc. Member, Faith Baptist Church; Cold Stream Park Neighborhood Improvement Association; Northeast Police Community Relations Committee; Masons.
