Biography:

Born, Baltimore, Maryland, May 1, 1907.  Attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute.  Received LL.B., University of Maryland Law School, 1927.  Admitted to the Bar, 1928.  Married, Jane Hutzler, 1934.

Assistant Title Examiner, Baltimore City, 1928-1931.  Assistant City Solicitor, 1931-1934.  Served in U.S. Army during World War II, attaining rank of colonel, received Bronze Star, 1999.  President, Bar Association of Baltimore City, 1960-1961.  Vice President, Maryland State Bar Association, 1960-1961.  Appointed to Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, 1967. Defeated in election bid, 1968.  Former Chair, American Bar Association Traffic Safety Advisory Commission for State of Maryland.  Member, Board of Governors, Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, 1970-present.  Chairman, Boat Act Advisory Committee for the State of Maryland.
