Biography:

Born January 11, 1854, in Baltimore City. Father Joseph S. Heiusler(d. 1899), prominent Baltimore attorney, City Councilman, 12th Ward. Received B.A. Calvert Hall College, 1872, M.A. Rock Hill College, 1874. Studied law at University of Maryland Law School. Admitted to the bar, 1878. Married M. Julia Benzinger, daughter of notable Baltimore lawyer, November 15, 1883; no children. Died February 28, 1929.

Practiced in partnership with father until his death. Appointed to Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, 1908, elected following year. Presided over Juvenile Court, which he was instrumental in founding. Strong supporter of children; served on boards of trustees for several schools, including St. Mary's Industrial School. Also active in Roman Catholic community of Baltimore.
