German Horton Hunt Emory (1882-1918)

Biography:

Born: September 27, 1882, Marley Branch, Maryland. Son of William H. Emory and Eleanor H. Emory. Married Lucy I. Stump; Three sons were born from this marriage. Education: Hill School, Pottstown, Pennsylvania; private and public schools Baltimore City; and at St Luke's School, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. University of Maryland Law School, 1903. Practiced with the firm of Slingluff & Slingluff, 1903-1906. Private practice, 1906-1907. Member of the firm Johnson, Emory, Olmstead and Cator, 1908-1911. Formed a partnership with Morris A. Soper, 1911-c.1912. Member of the firm of Frank, Emory and Beeuwkes, 1913-1918. Died November 1, 1918, Killed in action in the Argonne Forest.
