Roscoe C. Rowe (1884-1952)

Biography:

Born Roscoe Conkling Rowe, August 18, 1884, in Mt. Vernon, Indiana.  Son of Charles A. and Emma (Curtis) Rowe.  Attended University of Maryland School of Law, 1924.  Married Regina Catharine Dammeyer, July 15, 1908; four children: Hilary Cecil, Charlotte Catharine, Roscoe C., Jr., and Dale Curtis.  Died January 11, 1952, at Bethesda Naval Medical Center.  Buried at Cedar Bluff Cemetery, in Annapolis, Maryland.

Enlisted in U.S. Navy, 1903, serving in Medical Corps. Attended University of Maryland School of Law while stationed in Naval Hospital in Annapolis. Annapolis City Councilor. State's Attorney, Anne Arundel County, 1934-1938. Returned to Navy, 1940-1946. Mayor of Annapolis, Republican, 1949-1952.
