Biography:

Raised in Catonsville, Maryland, Jennifer E. Crawford attended Archbishop Keough High School in Baltimore and Radolph-Macon College in Virginia. She worked on numerous state and national political campaigns and served as Deputy Director of Operations in Senator Barbara Mikulski's office. She worked in state government prior to her marriage, where her positions included Secretary of Appointments and Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the Governor. Ms. Crawford married Parris N. Glendening in Government House on January 25, 2002. They have one child, Gabrielle, born in August 2002, who was the first child born to a sitting Maryland governor since 1879.
