A. Briscoe Koger (c. 1892-1977)

Biography:

Born in Reidsville, North Carolina, c. 1892.  Attended Howard University School of Law, LL.B., 1924.  Admitted to the Maryland bar, December 1, 1925.  Died January 4, 1977 in Baltimore.

Baltimore attorney for 30 years.  Author and historian of African-American history in Maryland.  A. B. Koger Resource Library dedicated May, 1976 at the headquarters of the Governor's Commission on the Study of Negro History and Culture.  Recipient of a Certificate of Distinguished Citizenship, signed by Governor Marvin Mandel, 1976.
