Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, June 8, 1943. Attended St. Joseph's School for Girls, Pennsylvania; University of Maryland College Park, B.S. (psychology), magna cum laude, 1976; University of Baltimore School of Law, J.D., cum laude, 1981. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1981.

Associate Judge, District Court of Maryland, District 5, Prince George's County, July 27, 2000 to June 17, 2013. Retired June 17, 2013. Member, Editorial Board, Justice Matters, 2000-. Member, Judicial Education Committee, District Court of Maryland, 2002-13. Chair, Public Awareness Committee, 2004-08 (member, 2000-04, 2008-13), Maryland Judicial Conference. Member, Greenbelt Advisory Planning Board, 1975-78. Assistant Attorney General, 1983-2000. Arbitrator, Health Claims Arbitration Office, 1984-2000.
