Biography:

Born July 14, 1816, in Ireland. Studied the law with William P. Preston and Reverdy Johnson. Died June 23, 1890, in Cecil County. Buried at St. Stephens Episcopal Cemetery, Cecil County, Maryland.

Law practice in Baltimore City, 9 Court House Lane.  House of Delegates, Baltimore City, 1845-47.  Secretary of State, 1854-57.
