Biography:

Born in Locust Grove, Maryland, April 1, 1919.  Son of William H. and Mary A. (Knight) Startt.  Attended Elkton public schools; Physical Education School, U. S. Army; F.B.I. School.  Married; one son.  Died October 30, 2006, in Ekton, Maryland.  Buried at Elkton Cemetery, Elkton, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Cecil County, 1971-74.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Salesman.  Served in U.S. Army in World War II.  Sheriff of Cecil County, 1962-70.  Jail board, Cecil County, 1972-85.  Member, Loyal Order of Moose; VFW; American Legion; 29th Division Association; Weldwood Club; National Sheriffs Association.
