Born in New York City, August 1, 1931.  Attended New York City public schools; College of William and Mary; New York University.  Married.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Legislative Districts 2 & 11 (D), Baltimore County, 1967-74, 1987-94.  Member, Appropriations Committee, 1987-93; Health and the Environment Subcommittee; Joint Expenditure Study Group on Health, Housing, Economic Development, and the Environment.  Deputy majority whip, 1993.  Vice-chair, Ways and Means Committee, 1994.  House chair, Spending Affordability Committee, 1993-94.  Member, Joint Budget and Audit Committee, 1994.  Vice-chair, Baltimore County Delegation.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Navy, 1951-53.  Licensed nursing home administrator.  Fellow, American College of Nursing Home Administrators.  Twenty-year member, Baltimore County Commission on the Aging.  Owner and manager of commercial real estate.  Member, president and board member, Maryland Nursing Home Association.  Member, Citizens Planning and Housing Association; Baltimore Association for Histadrut; Chamber of Commerce; Metropolitan Civic Association; Safety First Club of Maryland; Airplane Owners and Pilots Association.  President, Mid-field Improvement Association.  Member, B'nai B'rith; Amicable Lodge Masons; Boy Scouts of America; Jewish War Veterans.  Monarch, Yedz Grotto.  Chair, Maryland Committee for Israel Bonds; National Board Chair for Israel Bonds.  Board Member and Board Chair, Associated Jewish Chanties.  Officer, Beth Tfiloh Synagogue.
