Biography:

Born Richard Marvil Laws in Salisbury, Maryland, October 2, 1928.  Son of W. Ernest and Mary (Marvil) Laws.  Attended Salisbury public schools; Beacom Business College.  Married Ruth E. Wilson, April 28, 1957; two children.  Died August 31, 2009, in Salisbury, Maryland.  Buried at the Wicomico Memorial Park, Salsibury, Maryland. 

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Wicomico County, 1971-74.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Merchant.  Served in U.S. Army, 1950-52.  Chair, Salisbury City Democratic Committee, 1956.  Vice-chair, Democratic State Central Committee of Wicomico County, 1958-62.  Member, Salisbury City Council, 1958-64, president, 1963-64.  Member, Elks; Farm Bureau.
