Henry W. Archer (1813-1887)

Biography:

Born April 18, 1813 at Stafford, Harford County.  Son of Dr. John Archer.  Attended Yale University; Union College, Schenectady, New York.  Studied law under Albert Constable.  Admitted to the Baltimore City bar, 1835.  Married Mary E. Walker on June 7, 1849; nine children.  Resided near Bel Air, Harford County.  Died July 8, 1887 in Bel Air.

Engaged in the private practice of law in Harford and Cecil counties.  Member, House of Delegates, Harford County, 1844-46.  Delegate from Harford County to the 1867 Constitutional Convention.
