Eugene O'Dunne (1875-1959)

Biography:

Born June 22 1875, Tucson, Arizona. Son of Chief Justice Edmund F. Dunne of the Territory of Arizona. Attended University of Maryland School of Law, 1900.  Admitted to the Maryland bar, August 16, 1899. Married Elise M. Reardon (died 1935), 1904; six children. Married Helen Keep, 1950. Died October 30, 1959, Ogunquit, Maine. Buried, New Cathedral Cemetery, Baltimore, Maryland.

Assistant State's Attorney of Baltimore City, 1903-c. 1905. Deputy State's Attorney of Baltimore City, 1905-1910. Chairman, Special Commission to Study the Maryland Penal System, 1908. Engaged in private law practice, 1910-1926. Associate Judge of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, 1926-1945; appointed by Governor Albert C. Ritchie. Taught at the University of Maryland School of Law, John Hopkins Medical School, and  University of Baltimore School of Law. 36th President of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, 1914-1915.
