Born in Washington, D.C., May 22, 1942.  Attended St. Genevieve of the Pines High School, Asheville, North Carolina; St. Xavier College; University of Tennessee, B.S., 1963; Washington College of Law, American University, J.D., 1978.  Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1978.

Associate Judge, District Court of Maryland, District 6, Montgomery County, December 18, 1995 to December 2, 2000. Retired December 2, 2000. Chair, Juvenile Law Committee, Maryland Judicial Conference, 1997-2000. Member, State Advisory Board for Juvenile Justice, 1997-; Maryland Judicial Commission on Pro Bono, 1998-2000. Member, Foster Care Review Board, Montgomery County, 1983-87. Chair, Juvenile Court Committee, Montgomery County, 1985-87.

Member, American, Maryland State, Montgomery County and Women's Bar Associations. Member, National Association Counsel for Children. Child Advocacy National Certificate of Recognition, American Bar Association, 1995.
