Born in Washington, D.C., March 8, 1945.  Attended Montgomery Junior College. Married; two children.

House of Delegates, Frederick, Washington counties, 1991-99.  Member, Constitutional and Administrative Law Committee, 1991-92; Environmental Matters Committee, 1992-99; Environmental and Natural Resources Subcommittee; Special Committee on Drug and Alcohol Abuse, 1993-99; Protocol Committee.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Member, Advisory Committee on School Construction (three years) and Advisory Committee on Redistricting, 1975-76, 1980, of Frederick County Superintendent of Schools.  Member, Board of County Commissioners, Frederick County, 1982-86, 1986-90; president, 1986-90.  Member, Sound Barrier Review Panel, 1995-96; Task Force on Maryland's Dairy Industry, 1995-97; Local Government Advisory Group on the Chesapeake Bay Program; Business and Professional Women; League of Women Voters; Frederick County Historical Society; Maryland Association of Elected Women; Daughters of the American Revolution; Arthritis Foundation, Maryland Chapter.  Board of directors, Heartly House; Way Station.
