Biography:

Born in Owings Mills, Maryland, June 22, 1934.  Attended Franklin High School, Reisterstown; Western Maryland College, B.S., Home Economics, 1956.  Married; five children.

Member of House of Delegates, District 5A, Carroll County, January 11, 1995-January 14, 2015. Republican. Member, Appropriations Committee, 1995-2015 (transportation & the environment subcommittee, 1995-99; oversight committee on program open space & agricultural land preservation, 1995-2002; education & economic development subcommittee, 1999-2015; oversight committee on personnel, 1999-2015; juvenile services work group, 2005-15; capital budget subcommittee, 2007-11); Joint Committee on Children, Youth, and Families, 1999-2015; Rules and Executive Nominations Committee, 2011-15. Member, Special Committee on Rail Mergers, 1996-97; Joint Committee on Legislative Ethics, 1999-2003; Special Committee on Higher Education Affordability and Accessibility, 2003-04.
