Biography:

Born in Washington, D.C., July 19, 1961.  Attended Northwestern Senior High School, Adelphi, Maryland; U.S. Military Academy, West Point, B.S., Engineering, 1983; Harvard Business School, M.B.A., 1991.  Married; two children.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Prince George's County, 1995-99.  Member, Bi-County Committee, Prince George's County Delegation; Economic Matters Committee, 1995-99; Health Insurance Subcommittee; Science and Technology Subcommittee; Unemployment Insurance Subcommittee.  Joint Advisory Committee on Legislative Data Systems, 1998.

Private Career and Public Service:
Served in U.S. Army, captain, 1983-89; Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; Joint Meritorious Unit Award for operations in Persian Gulf.  Senior marketing manager, telecommunications, MCI.  West Point military liaison officer and recruiter for Washington, D.C., Montgomery County, Southern Howard County, and Prince George's County, U.S. Army Reserve.  Co-chair, Local Neighborhood Watch Program.
