Attended Baltimore City public schools; Morgan State College, B.A., education, 1950; New York University, M.A., school administration, 1955; University of Detroit, doctoral credits in corporate management and women as executives, and doctoral credits in public relations and marketing.  Died October 22, 2001 of Alzheimer's disease at Augsburg Lutheran Home in Lochearn.  She was 85 years old.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Baltimore City, 1983-86.  Chair, Judiciary Committee.  Member, Child Support Subcommittee of Women's Legislative Caucus, 1984, 1985.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Educator.  Public information director to Baltimore City Mayor Thomas J. D'Alesandro III, 1970.  Member, Baltimore City Council, 1971-74.  Host of weekly radio interview program, "Neighborhood Clinic Making Baltimore a Better Place to Live," 1970-76.  Member, Democratic State Central Committee of Maryland, 1987-95; Commission on Afro-American History and Culture; governing board, Central Maryland Health Systems Agency board of directors; Lutheran Hospital, board of directors; Chesapeake Regional Red Cross Division board of directors, United Christian Citizens, Inc.  President; Greenlawn Neighborhood Association.  Vice-chair, board of directors, Constant Care Health Center.  Vice-chair, Community Advisory Council of Lutheran Hospital.  Member, First Baptist Church, Baltimore.  Received numerous distinguished community service awards.
