Clemons, Michigan; University of Michigan, B.A. (English), 1958; University of Pittsburgh, 1962; University of Pennsylvania, 1969; University of Maryland School of Law, J.D., 1975; National College of Juvenile Justice, University of Nevada, 1979; National Judicial College, 1982. Admitted to the Maryland bar, 1977. Married; two sons. Died December 9, 2006, in Owings Mills, Maryland.
