Biography:

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, July 7, 1935. Attended Forest Park High School; The Johns Hopkins University; University of Maryland School of Law, J.D., 1961. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1962; District of Columbia Bar, 1963. 

Served in U.S. Army, 1956-58.   Assistant State's Attorney, Baltimore City, 1967-72.  Chair, Special Joint Committee on Gender Bias in the Courts.  Associate Judge, District Court of Maryland, District 1, Baltimore City, 1976-84.  Chair, Judicial Education Committee, District Court of Maryland, 1982-84; Board of Directors, Judicial Institute of Maryland, 1982-84.  Associate Judge, Baltimore City Circuit Court, 8th Judicial Circuit, 1984-95. Resigned September 5, 1995.  Member, American, Maryland State and Baltimore City Bar Associations. Past member, Parents Board of Directors, Gilman School, 1976-78; Bryn Mawr Parents Board of Directors.
