Biography:

Born in Baltimore, December 6, 1927.  Attended Baltimore parochial schools; Mt. St. Joseph High School; Loyola College; Towson State College; University of Baltimore; University of Baltimore Law School, J.D., 1951.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1954.  Married; six children.  Died June 6, 2011, in Loch Hill, Maryland.  Buried, Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.

General Assembly:
Member of Senate, 1967-81.  Minority whip.  Member, Judicial Proceedings Committee; Executive Nominations Committee.  Chair, Special Committee to Study the Mental Health Laws.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in the U.S. Coast Guard.  Delegate, Eagleton Institute of Politics, Rutgers University, 1968.  Instructor, Political Science, University of Baltimore, 1980.  Judge, Court of Special Appeals, At Large, 1981-1996.  Instructor, State & Local Government, University of Maryland School of Law, 1982-87.  Executive Committee, Maryland Judicial Conference, 1985-88; Chair, 1987-88.  Member, Maryland State Bar Association (past member, Board of Governors); Baltimore County Bar Association.  Past member, Trial Courts Judicial Nominating Committee, 3rd Judicial Circuit.
