Biography:

Born in Washington, D.C., January 21, 1935.  Attended Anne Arundel Community College.  Married; four children, four grandchildren.  Died August 20, 2007, in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Anne Arundel County, 1987-94.  Member, Constitutional and Administrative Law Committee, 1987-90; Environmental Matters Committee, 1991-92; Ways and Means Committee, 1992-94; Transportation and Lottery Subcommittee; Joint Committee on Chesapeake Bay Critical Areas, 1993-94.  Deputy majority whip, 1994.  Representative appointed by Speaker to Southern Legislative Conference.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Navy, 1952-56.  Chair, Commission to Save the Lighthouses, 1989.  Member, Maryland Greenways Commission, 1993.  Member, treasurer, Anne Arundel County Housing Authority.  Legislative liaison for Anne Arundel County.  Member, Anne Arundel County Civil Defense Committee; Anne Arundel County Stormwater Management Committee.  Co-chair, Small Business Forum, 1992.  President, Point Pleasant Elementary PTA; Ft. Smallwood Elementary PTA; Anne Arundel County Life Underwriters.  Legislative representative, Anne Arundel County Independent Insurance Agents Association.  Member, Financial Planners Association; Maryland Trial Courts Judicial Nominating Commission.  Public education chair, American Cancer Society.  Coordinator, Anne Arundel County Explorer Scouts of America.  Chair, Glen Burnie Unit, YMCA Fund Raiser.  Member, VFW; American Legion; Elks; Moose; Masons.  Heritage Awards and Life Membership, Glen Burnie Optimists.  Preservation awards, Maryland Historical Trust and Anne Arundel County.
