Biography:

Born John Webster Hardwicke, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, April 10, 1927.  Attended Winston-Salem public schools; University of North Carolina, A.B., 1950; George Washington University School of Law, LL.B., 1953.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1953.   Married to Mary Bunker; six children.  Died December 24, 2009, in Havre de Grace, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Harford County, 1963-66.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Lecturer in law, Mt. Vernon School of Law, 1955-60.  Instructor in law, The Johns Hopkins University, 1955-date unknown.  Delegate, 1967 Constitutional Convention of Maryland.  Member and president, Harford County Council.  Member, Regional Planning Council.  Chief administrative law judge, Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings, 1991-2002.  Member, American, Maryland State, Baltimore, and Junior Bar Associations; Baltimore Bar Library; Baltimore Association of Commerce.  President, Mental Health Association of Harford County.  Member, The Johns Hopkins Club; The Merchants Club.
