Biography:

Born in Washington, D.C., November 29, 1922.  Attended Surrattsville High School; University of Maryland, B.A., 1943; George Washington University School of Law, LL.B., J.D., 1947, LL.M., 1948.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1948.  Died August 5, 2007, in Clinton, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Prince George's County, 1955-61.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Navy, 1943-45; attained rank of lieutenant, USNR.  Attorney, Board of License Commissioners for Prince George's County, 1949-54.  Associate judge, Prince George's County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, 1960-74; County administrative judge, 1974-76; chief judge, 1976-92.  Chair, Conference of Circuit Judges, 1980-86.  Member, Board of Directors, Farmers and Merchants Bank of Upper Marlboro.  Chair, Maryland Judicial Conference, 1975-76; Committee on Juvenile Courts in Maryland; District Advisory Board for the Public Defender System.  President, PTA.  Commander, American Legion, Southern Maryland Society.  Member, Young Democrats of Prince George's County; Prince George's County Democratic Club; Young Men's Democratic Club of Prince George's County; American, Maryland State, and Prince George's County Bar Associations; American Judicature Society; National Council for Crime and Delinquency; Metropolitan Area Council of Juvenile Court Judges; Prince George's County Chamber of Commerce; Southern Prince George's County Board of Trade; Clinton Businessman's Association; Lions; Knights of Columbus; Phi Delta Kappa; VFW.
