Biography:

Born in Baltimore, July 27, 1921.  Attended Baltimore public schools; City College; University of Maryland, A.B., 1942; University of Maryland Law School, LL. B., 1947.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1947.  Married Irene Messner; son Barry E. M. Bacharach, daughter Calla W. Ganz.  Died November 1, 1990.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Baltimore City, 1951-62.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in the U.S. Army, 1942-45.  Assistant City Solicitor, Baltimore City, 1952-56.  Justice of the Peace, 1950s.  Judge, People's Court of Baltimore City, 1962-71.  Judge, District Court of Maryland, District 1, Baltimore City, 1971-90.  Law lecturer.  Member, Maryland State Bar Association.  Chairman, Committee on Magistrate's Courts, Baltimore Bar Association.  Member, Real Estate Board; Civitan Club; Isaak Walton League; American Legion.
