Born in Takoma Park, Maryland, December 30, 1969.  Attended Highland View Academy, Hagerstown, Maryland; Frederick Community College, A.A., general studies, 1992; Frostburg State University, B.S., business administration, magna cum laude, 1994.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Legislative District 3 (R), Frederick and Washington Counties, 1999-2003; Legislative District 4A (R), Frederick County, 2003-2011. Member, Ways and Means Committee, 1999-2011 (children & youth subcommittee, 1999-2000, 2003-04; finance resources subcommittee, 2001-03; transportation subcommittee, 2004-06; election law subcommittee, 2007-08; revenues subcommittee, 2009-11; vice-chair's subcommittee, 2009-11). Vice-Chair, Frederick County Delegation, 2007-11. Member, Maryland Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus, 2001-11; Maryland Rural Caucus, 2002-11; Taxpayers Protection Caucus, 2003-11. Member, National Conference of State Legislatures (redistricting & elections committee, 2005-11).

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Technical writer; graphic designer; political consultant. Member, Commission to Develop the Maryland Model for Funding Higher Education, 2008-09. Inductee, National Business Honor Society, 1993.  Member, National Rifle Association; Frederick County Young Republican Club; Frederick Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
