Biography:

Born in St. Louis, MO, September 3, 1928.  Attended St. Mary's Academy, Leonardtown; Charlotte Hall Military Academy; Virginia Military Institute; Western Maryland College, B.A., 1948; University of Maryland Law School, LL.B., 1951.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1951.  Died December 6, 2009, in Leonardtown, Maryland.  Buried at St. Andrews Episcopal Church Cemetery, California, Maryland.

General Assembly:
Member of Senate, St. Mary's County, 1959-62; Democrat.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Army in Korea and Okinawa, 1952-54.  State's Attorney, St. Mary's County, 1954-58.  Businessman, newspaper publisher, and real estate broker.  Member, Lions Club; Society of Senates Past.
