Born in Baltimore, Maryland, April 24, 1950. Attended Baltimore City public schools; Morgan State University.  Married; three children.  Died May 29, 2010.

House of Delegates, Legislative District 43 (D), Baltimore City, 1998-2003. Deputy Majority Whip, 1999-2003. Member, Commerce and Government Matters Committee, 1998-2003; Financial Institutions Subcommittee, 1998; Ethics & Elections Subcommittee, 1999-2003; Transportation Subcommittee, 1999-2003. Member, Maryland Legislative Black Caucus, 1998-2003; Education Committee, 2000-2003.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Bankruptcy claims analyst.  Member, Democratic Central Committee, Baltimore City, 1994-98; Issues & Legislation Committee. Member, Baltimore United in Leadership Development (BUILD).  Hillen Road Improvement Assocation, member since 1983 and president, 1990-95.  Co-founder, Coalition for Political Accountability. Mentor, RAISE Program, Baltimore City.  Deacon, Union Baptist Church.
