Born in Washington, DC, December 24, 1953.  Attended Walter Johnson High School, Bethesda, Maryland; Montgomery College, A.A., 1973; The American University, B.A., 1976; George Mason University School of Law, J.D., 1980.  Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1981.

Associate Judge, District Court of Maryland, District 6, Montgomery County, since December 2, 1996. Member, Mental Health, Alcoholism and Addiction Committee, 1997-2000, and Civil Law and Procedure Committee, 2001-03, Maryland Judicial Conference. Member, Maryland Judicial Commission on Pro Bono, 1998-2000; Commissioner Education Committee, 2001-, and Administrative Judges Committee, 2009-11, District Court of Maryland. Member, State Board of Law Examiners, 1994-96 (assistant grader, 1986-96). Former Acting General Counsel, Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission.

Member, American Bar Association; Maryland State Bar Association (administrative law section; administrative law section council, 2000-); Montgomery County Bar Association; Women's Bar Association of Maryland. Adjunct professor, University of Baltimore School of Law; Washington College of Law, The American University.
