Born in New York, New York, August 11, 1952.  Attended Cleveland Heights High School, Cleveland Heights, Ohio. New York University, Washington Square, and University College of Arts and Sciences, B.A., 1975; University of Maryland School of Law, J.D. (with honors), 1981. Order of the Coif (law school honorary society).  Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1982.

Judge, Court of Special Appeals, At Large, June 17, 1997 to August 31, 2018. Retired August 31, 2018. Chair, Maryland Judicial Commission on Pro Bono, 1998-2000. Member, Civil Law and Procedure Committee, 2000-03, and Family Law Committee, 2003-14 (chair, custody subcommittee, 2006-14), Maryland Judicial Conference. Chair, Records Retention Work Group of Court Technology Committee, 2015-16. Member, Domestic Law Committee, 2015-, Retired and Recalled Judges Committee, 2017, and Vice-Chair, Senior Judges Committee, 2017-, Judicial Council.
