Wife of Thomas Ward Veazey, Governor of Maryland 1836-1839
Mary Veazey was the daughter of William Veazey and Mary Loutitt.1 The second wife of Thomas Ward Veazey, she was also his first cousin The couple was married on March 29, 1798 in Cecil County, Maryland. They had five children.
Mary died on October 28, 1810 and was buried along with Thomas and his two other wives in a family burial plot on the family farm, "Cherry Grove," in Cecil County, Maryland. Several of the Governor's children are also buried at Cherry Grove.2
