Biography:

Born in Sumter County, Alabama.  Attended Pennsylvania public schools; Morgan State College, B.S., 1939; Cheyney State College; New York University, M.A., 1947; University of Maryland School of Law, LL.B., J.D, 1951.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1953.  Married to Robert R. Lee.  Died August 24, 2006, in Baltimore, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Baltimore City, 1967-82.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Educator, business woman, lecturer.  Member, Women's, Monumental, and National Bar Associations; National Order of Women Legislators; National Association of Parliamentarians.  President, Baltimore Club of National Association of Business and Professional Women, Inc.  President and founder, Baltimore Chapter, Cheyney Alumni Association.  President, Maryland League of Women's Clubs.  Charter member, Board of Governors, Lafayette Square Recreation Center.  Member, NAACP; International Platform Association.  Founder, Camp Mohawk Mothers of the YMCA.  Founder, Herbert M. Frisby Historical Society.  Recipient of numerous citations and awards. Inducted into the Maryland Women's Hall of Fame, 1989. Featured in 2000 Women of Achievement; Bicentennial Issue of Who's Who in America; Who's Who of  Women; Black Americans; International Biography; Women of Achievement in Maryland History.
