Biography:

Born March 30, 1784.  Attended St. John's College, Annapolis, Maryland, B.A., M.A., 1800.  Married Susan Maccubbin (1795-1864) on May 12, 1812.  Children:  James, John Henry, Edwin, Llewellyn, Mary (d. 1836).  Died September 30, 1854.

Lawyer.  Member, Executive Council.  Member of the House of Delegates, Annapolis, 1808-10; 1819-20.  Mayor of Annapolis, 1823-25.  State's attorney for Anne Arundel County, 1848-51.  Member of the board of visitors and governors, St. John's College, Annapolis, Maryland.
