Biography:

Born January 28, 1849, in Montreal, Canada.  Son of William and Martha Peeples.  Educated in Cecil County, Maryland.  Married to Emma Lamm; three sons (Adam, Charles, and Cecil) and a daughter (Mabel).  Died October 17, 1914, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Buried at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Colora, Cecil County, Maryland.

House of Delegates, Cecil County, 1910. (D) Speaker of the House, 1910. Elected speaker with the backing of Governor Austin L. Crothers. Lost bid for re-election in 1911.

Merchant, Port Deposit, Maryland. Served as tax collector in 1882 and 1883. Grand Chancellor, Knights of Pythias.
